Jared Jex will discuss changes to the Tax Cuts & Jobs Act with a focus on cost recovery changes, Qualified Improvement Property (QIP), and Qualified Opportunity Zones (QOZ) and the tax incentive impact they will have on real estate owners. Additionally Jared will touch on Cost recovery and the principles of depreciation and cost segregation, tax implications and strategies upon the sale of a real estate asset, and bonus depreciation.

Jared Jex is the Regional Director for Cost Segregation Authority and is responsible for business development and education throughout the Intermountain West. Jared spent 15 years of his professional career
in operations and client management with Fidelity Investments where he was ultimately responsible for building and maintaining relationships across the country and with operational oversight of retirement-plan assets. In 2018, Jared transitioned his passion of helping to preserve wealth to a focus on tax-saving strategies. His relationship and client management experience have proven be immediately successful in teaching the principals and benefits of cost segregation to CPAs, Tax and Wealth Advisors, and Real Estate Investors of all levels.
